Business Over Breakfast™ (BoB)

Business Over Breakfast is one of The ASBCs original programs. In fact, it started ten years before The ASBC was born. Originally known as the Advanced Business Development breakfast, or ABD, it was created by retired Marines and Sailors (Jack, Bob, Ted, and more) working for small and large federal contracting companies in the local area. It was a simple weekly meet-up to enrich relationships, share business opportunities, and enjoy a helping of S.O.S. when it was still on the menu at Silver Diner.

Today, BoB is hosted twice monthly at Silver Diner in Tysons and enjoys the same format as the original ABD, minus the S.O.S. There are introductions and discussions on any federal contracting topic brought to the table, followed by robust networking. We get started at 0730 and look forward to you joining us. Pre-registration is preferred.

Stalking to Win™ (S2W)

If you’ve participated in, or visited the program page for Ethical Stalking for Government Contractors® Bootcamp you’ll know it is recognized as the undisputed champion for delivering high-value and high-octane knowledge and skills to federal contracting growth leaders and their teams. Bootcamp creates the perfect mix of information and skills development to fuel the success of your company’s growth engine. We achieve this by teaching proven business development processes and tactics, making govcon terminology more familiar, and presenting the best information resources that contribute to finding more viable opportunities, and winning them.

However, to expertly prepare a novice or someone with experience to be excellent at federal contracting market research, we bring you Stalking to Win™. This program is for team members responsible for collecting accurate, relevant, and timely information to support decision-making.

Stalking to Win™ is a one-day workshop where we supercharge attendees with abilities to understand important terms, and recognize the sources of information that will, without question, accelerate the abilities of companies to develop an information advantage. This training program is based entirely on the Ethical Stalking for Government Contractors® curriculum. What is learned can (and should) be implemented the same day to boost how companies see customers, competitors, requirements, and opportunities.

Note: In the spirit of Ethical Stalking for Government Contractors®, all of the sources presented during this program are government-hosted or public domain.

Stalking to Win™ meets the requirements of the EDUCATE and EMPLOY elements of E-ssentials for Growing in Govcon™.

Beyond the Intelligence Community™ (Beyond the IC)

For companies and individuals currently supporting the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) seeking to expand into non-IC activities and opportunities. This is a program where you can leverage education, insights, and relationships to help you do exactly that, grow Beyond the Intelligence Community.

MONTHLY MEETINGS & ELIGIBILTY

We host a monthly in-person and livestream meeting that is open to U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents of U.S. owned and operated business entities actively doing business as contractors and/or subcontractors to member organizations of the IC and their prime contractors.

Each meeting includes attendee introductions, opportunity discussion, an invited guest speaker or Ethical Stalking for Government Contractors® education/training, and networking. For in-person participants, a light breakfast (e.g. bagels, muffins, coffee, juice) is provided.

Participation is also open to representatives of federal agencies and program sponsors who meet the citizenship requirements.

WHY PARTICIPATE?

Imagine having cracked the code and successfully supported the important needs of IC customers, only to find achieving the same great results outside of the IC requires an entirely different code.  This is reality for many companies actively supporting the IC when spreading their wings to support the requirements of civilian and defense agencies of the U.S. Government. Because we’ve seen it be a rather daunting challenge for them, we’ve created Beyond the IC as a dynamic opportunity to help these companies develop familiarity with the tactics, terminologies, tools, and relationships that will lead to traction Beyond the IC.

ORIGIN

Shortly after the launch of The ASBC in 2004, we established a volunteer-led working group called SBINT, the Small Business Intelligence Community group. It’s sole purpose was creating information and opportunities for companies supporting the IC. We hosted regular meetings in Annapolis Junction, MD at the offices of Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC), consisting of educational and opportunity-specific discussions, presentations by thought-leaders from Government and Industry to include senior leaders from multiple intelligence agencies. We also reached out to, and secured contributions from program managers at mid-tier and large companies, to include CTC. As a result of these consistent and targeted activities, many contracts and subcontracts were realized by members of SBINT to include 30 (thirty) companies being selected by The ASBC and CTC to participate as subcontractors on the first iteration of DIA’s Solutions for Intelligence Analysis (SIA) contract in 2007. SBINT members realized similar success in support of Mission Essential Personnel on the Department of Defense Language Interpretation and Translation Enterprise (DLITE) contract awarded by Army INSCOM in 2011.

Beyond the IC™ meets the requirements of the EDUCATE, EMPLOY, and ENGAGE elements of E-ssentials for Growing in Govcon™.
