Legislative Near Misses, Top Contracts and New Stuff!
Our friend and small business government contracting attorney extraordinaire, Steven Koprince, has launched a new feature on his incredibly informative and useful, SmallGovCon blog. He calls it GovCon Voices and describes it as "...opinions, insights and commentary from non-attorney thought-leaders across the field of government contracting," and I am honored to have been given the opportunity to write the very first piece for their new feature.
Since the theme of GovCon Voices is providing content related to compliance, policy and law for government contractors, I decided to make the best of the opportunity by offering a 3-part series with the title "The Good, the Bad and the Just Plain Ugly Changes That Almost Were!" I started with 'the Just Plain Ugly' and will work my way from there to 'the Bad' and then to 'the Good' leaving things on somewhat of a high note. As you might imagine the first 2 near misses are pieces of legislation I hope don't catch a zombie strain and come back to life! Rest in Peace for all eternity. I would greatly appreciate you taking a look and letting me know what you think.
In the meantime, there are a number of relevant pieces from media organizations and industry thought-leaders in the featured articles section of the GovConChannel such as 'Top Federal IT Contracts to Watch for in 2017' and 'New DHS Acquisition Rules Proposal Could Disrupt Contracts, Hurt Small Business' and more.
We've officially launched (most of) our refreshed membership programs that include new benefits, new price structures and new opportunities to climb your way to your goals in federal contracting. Take a look on the 'About Membership' page and let us know if you have questions. In the meantime...Have a Great Week and Peace!
